No idea.  The guys that kill elk every year generally live in the mountain states where elk live, so it's easier from a number of angles.  They like crossfit/paleo too.

can you hoof a whole elk? do you quarter it and make multiple trips? drag it on a sled?

Well ya you quarter it and debone it.  I think no matter how you do it, it's going to be hard, and something I'd prefer to be prepared for.

Also if there is any way to prepare for it without running...I hate running...I'd pay a $100 for that.

Also I want to be fit enough to actually track an elk down and kill it at timberline type elevation.

Clamp your nose, put a straw in your mouth and run up hills. You're welcome.

Guys, can we talk about a serious issue that's sweeping the nation? Something that happens to guys daily, but manly men are too afraid to admit it? A thing so bad, that keeps some running cats in on the weekend? Alright, I'll go ahead and say it. It's chaffing guys and it's no joke! I'm getting back on track this week after the Royals postseason and I've logged 12 miles in the last 48 hours. The struggle is real, guys. This might put me out of commission the rest of the week. What do you do to avoid this?! :curse:

Been taking Yoga classes for Vets at the VA and our instructors surprised us with these shirts yesterday at the Veterans Day open class. We had a ton of people come out and do a "108 Sun Salutations" event. Really thoughtful of the instructors...

Hey I'm taking my first ever yoga class tonight. I have no idea what I'm getting myself into but I'm tired of feeling old. My knees are made of sour cream so I'm hoping this is something I can do.

I love sports, but stepping away from the kickball league and the Royals season finally being over, and i'm kicking ass again. Feels good to be back on schedule!

OK, so I have tried a few different knee braces. (Just the slip on kind, not the ones with big robotic arms attached to them.) A couple of the Ace ones that are just like a stretchy fabric and a neoprene one.

But the problem is that they keep slipping down or bunching up in the back of my knee and getting uncomfortable. I tried the next smaller size but I couldn't even get it on my knee.

So, can someone recommend a brand/style of knee brace that doesn't have these issues?

I don't even remember starting that one.   :sdeek:

But I bought some of that Gold Bond spray and it worked for me.  I didn't like the idea of putting something on my choad over and over again.

Yoga Review:

I think I liked it. I did like their intro to yoga class, I was one of three hunks but whatever. It got a little too spiritual (zen?) at times with the "Aum" and whatnot, caught me off guard and I felt silly. They really wanted us to concentrate on breathing and focus on nothing but that, which is nearly impossible for me. I was thinking about who the Royals are gonna sign this offseason.  However, the stretches were great and would recommend if you are super stiff in the legs/back. I'll go back.

Did they turn the lights off? The yoga class I see at the Y always has the light turned off so I am pretty sure they are just taking a nap.

yep. the last 10 minutes of the class they made me put a block under my tailbone and just sit there with the lights off. some lady coughed about 5 minutes in so that helped break it up a little.

I permanently wear waterproof tape on them, and use bodyglide on other parts.  The ladies think taped nips are so hot.

May still slip, depending on sizing, because it IS a slip-on style knee brace.
