I wouldn't. I'd still just get all my info here.

what's the average level of education completed for an egyptian. i suspect it to an be extremely low level.  sad that these people so readily play the role of puppet.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Agreed. You're on target here. The "average" is a bit distorted by the extremes, but the elites on both sides are exploiting the under-educated. But the MB is the worst at this. To break character for a moment, I sincerely find it heart-breaking. They're intentionally creating "martyrs."

FR, did the US intentionally place two Anne Pattersons(women) at the top two US positions in Egypt?  It seems like culturally this would create challenges for both sides   :dunno:

To imply we did anything intentionally would be to give us too much credit.

If that is the case, I would think having two women high up in a Muslim country could make everything more difficult, or am I letting my cultural ignorance show?

See, sometimes you give me the feeling we know exactly what the eff we're doing, and do so with an aire of arrogance and "go eff yourself we're the Yankees," but then also it seems like one hand doesn't know what the other is doing.

i wonder if the anne pattersons ever do any parent trappy highjinx type stuff. like answer each others phones. "yes this is anne patterson, go ahead" then cover mouthpiece of phone and go "heeheehee" type of sound to the other anne patterson sitting five feet away.

One Anne Patterson recently joked that she would blame everything on the other Anne Patterson.

More like one side doesn't care what the other is doing.

Absolutely perfect personal exit strategy.

So how much of Egypt is caught up in the violence? 5-10%? 30%? What's the scale of this thing? How many are in the MB?

switch partners on dates like twins on TV shows. It gets hilarious because it only works when they look the same and Anne Patterson didn't really think it through.

So both sides in this hate Obama, yes?

Yes. Confirmed.

Also, funny story, the new USAID number 2 in Egypt has the same name as the current ambassador that all egyptians hate (Anne Patterson). So, we have literally doubled down on Anne Pattersons in Egypt.

great addition to your now much less funny sitcom. So is the engagement party.

I am taking notes on things I can't post but would be potentially funny.

Your time in DC trying to do hip things and trying to stay on Egypt time would be great episodes. Maybe throw in some naughty skyping with a pregnant woman. (TOO PERSONAL?!? WHOOPS!!!)

All of Cairo, which is a large chunk, along with Alexandria and several other areas. Can't give a reliable percentage. But it's a country-wide issue. The MB looting police stations for arms and the non-MB reaction to the MB putting religion before nationality could make it much worse.

Huge MB mob moving past Mrs_Rex apt right now. She can't call because the signals are too busy/jammed or whatever. Just sending sporadic texts. No sounds of gunfire or anything like that, though.

This kinda blows my mind a little.  I mean, I can't imagine calling my wife and her letting me know how her day was going based on the presence of gunfire or not.

Felix, it might've gotten missed with the explosion of the Anne Patterson dilemma, but how'd people push a vehicle that had people in it who presumably could've driven away from or over people off a bridge?

I am just assuming the vehicle was a scooter and there were like 4 cops on it.   :dunno:
