even with fr breaking it down 3rd grade style for me, i need to come out and admit that i still don't understand it all. i love the stories and pictures and all of it, but am thinking that all this egypty stuff really just isn't for me.

There are levels of understanding. It is good to know when you don't really want to know any more. Like reading Genesis was enough for me to know that I was not going to care to read any more about the genealogy or how many hundreds of years the various Cainites lives.
