lately i've been on a ham sandwich kick. i think this is the first time in my life i've ever binged on ham sandwiches.

here's my usual-

then i put a slice of american cheese
then the boar's head applewood smoked ham
then mustard
then crushed lay's regular potato chips
then the top layer of potato bread

question for the ham heads out there- should i add a layer of Duke's mayo to the sandwich?
like i said, i'm kind of a ham noob so wasn't sure. go cats

Smoked brisket and roasted hatches on 3 pieces of toasted marbled rye. With horseradish mayo, swiss cheese, & romaine.

AST pretty much nailed it. Any left over beef cut, cheese, spread, rye bread.

That is a bear of a sandwich. The romaine looks wilted and seems like the sandwich would have been better without. Thoughts?

I forgot the dill sandwich slices because I am a moron and they would have been a great placement between the lettuce and hot brisket. Or just stick with the pickles and jettison the lettuce because I can’t really say I tasted it with everything else going on.

Went a little psycho with grilled cheese for lunch.
Sourdough, black forest ham, extra sharp cheddar, havarti, dill pickles, sautéed vidalia onions, pear & white wine marmalade, & English mustard.

Take the time to make some really sweet poached pears instead of the marmalade. I would have if this was a premeditated meal but I just started grabbing stuff out of the fridge.

2nd night in a row messing around with homemade turkey pastrami. Tonight a spicy club. Homemade guac, roasted jalapeños, bacon, swiss, lettuce, and tomato on sourdough.

Brisket from yesterday turned into a sandwich for dinner.
Chopped brisket finished with a sauce made from my ancho-chili wet-rub mixed with a blackberry compote.
Provolone
Roasted hatch chiles
Pan-Fried onions
Deli dill pickles

Also some leftover roasted broccolini

Pulled some mesquite-smoked pork belly out of the freezer yesterday, turned it into a banh mi today. Do recommend.
