Kougs, please post a badass response to sys' logic.

there is no incongruity in a bball staffer reporting that martin didn't feel like contract talks were progressing and not understanding why in january, and martin and currie concluding talks to mutual satisfaction in march.

micat,

it is fun.  try to have fun sometime.

sincerely,
righteous anger

hey man, hop on my Frank is sucking at recruiting anger train.  There's plenty of room - it's pretty much just me and sys (and his dedication to my cause is questionable).

eff it.

I really don't mind if I was "wrong," or whether what I was told was inaccurate at this point.

My "mission" all along was to lock up Frank.  My thanks to whomever helped to make that happen.   :users:<---- me drinking victory champaign, even if "I" didn't earn it.

Really not sure what the downside is.  I mean what is the worst that could happen?  The AD thinks there is a vocal minority that is relentlessly defending frank/bball program's interests.  I mean it would suck but if a section 17'r got dax'd/martyred it would basically be a never-ending nightmare of hilarious protests, mustached disguises and lobbing anger, righteous anger, from the intrawebs.  I mean I really see no downside at all even when considering worst case scenario.

Meh, I assume with how long these things take, that an announcement on 3/7 means the deal was done sometime in Feb., meaning the talks have been going smoothly for some time before that. Thus, it follows that the talks couldn't have been going that badly in late January.

The downside to your righteous anger or mine?  Since mine is directed at Frank, the downside is you can't be a pussy.  Currie is an easy target.  Frank requires more resolve.

Maybe they were going fine, but Frank leaked it so they went better?  Why are you searching for one specific set of facts when we all got what we wanted?  The fact is, information came out that frank wasn't happy and we went to the mattresses for Frank.  If there's a .1% chance that had any impact whatsoever on the process, Frank, Currie, mouth-breathing shirt tuckers etc.  Then it was a roaring success.  And it has had an impact, perhaps not any on the main stage, but the sideshows are where we roam anyway.

Dude, I agree, I don't care what happened before. All I care about is the deal got done, so Currie is now A-OK in my book. :dunno:

I don't care if someone gets martyr'd or not, we need to get these mustached disguises going

And Trim - If there is some master list of badass posters that get super secret info, let me know who is ahead of me that I have to kill off, then consider it done.

Yeah, Frank's pretty much amateur hour w/ everything the first time through.  He learns well, though.

i'm fully prepared to jump off at the first sign of rodriguez tricoche and williams moving up this summer and/or the staff verballing a top 100 big.

Me, too.  Just like you should hop off the Currie hate train, now that Frank is paid.

I've seen this a couple times...what exactly does getting dax'd mean? PM if necessary. tia

I'd like to know if the young "snake in the grass" AD asked Frank if Te420K was going to (as I like to say) get off his a$$ and start doing some real recruiting.

I got a good feeling when he said assistant salaries would be "re-evaluated" at the end of the season.  Incentive for 'Te to get to work.

What makes you think they weren't at some point?  Because a deal ultimately got done and our coach and AD said so in a joint press conference?
