Dudes, last night I crushed my 6 year old in Wii bowling.  I rolled my second perfect game.

It's pretty fun. Multiplayer free roam is a blast when there are other players around.  Love the gameplay, and it seems they took some of more annoying things out of GTA for this one (boring traveling across the map so far).

So is it like GTA, where you can just wander around killing people and stuff if you want, and then approach people to launch missions when you're good and ready?
Correct.

A few changes:

You can get an item called "campsite", which allows you to save anywhere in the wilderness, rather than having to go back to a safe house.

Your health regenerates, rather than having to eat food or sleep, to regain health.

Quick travel is available, kind of like taxi's, but faster and less expensive.

You can hunt and kill animals and skin them.

Rockstar social club integration, which adds further challenges and bonuses to the game.

So it's like Oregon Trail?
Except you can tie nuns to train tracks and watch them die.

Can you go all Custer's Revenge on some squaws?

Anybody play the demo for Backbreaker? I thought the use of momentum in this game was awesome. Why don't we see it in madden? BECAUSE THE CROWD,THE SIDELINES,ETC ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN GAMEPLAY.

I'm 80% through single player.  Incredible. I have completed the treasure, survivalist, and hunter challenges. Stuck on level 8 sharpshooter.  Only complain is I can't nail the whores.

i just watched the IGN review tonight and it looks great.  I was a big Max Payne fan so I'm going to pick up Alan Wake this weekend and give it a shot.  Unless I get Red Dead instead.  LMAO!

I'd buy RDR first and put Alan Wake on hold.  AW doesn't have much replay value so used copies will be available for cheaper soon.

A woman will ask for help as you pass by then several guys jump out from hiding and ambush you. It's all random. Last night I heard the same lady and I ran away, circled back behind them and f'ed their day up bad.

I had a woman ask me for help and push me off my horse and steal it.  Said I was "green".  Bitch got a bullet in her back.

Awesome. So is there enough going on to keep it fun? I was afraid without the big city to wander around in, things would get monotonous/tedious real fast.
