It's because everyone in the world places far more value on big wins than bad losses. (see our OU discussion a while back). ISU has basically done nothing of note other than beating KU and us.

Oh I know, I was firmly on the right side of that debate.  It's not just us, I think ISU is firmly a top 25 team.

oh, I agree, but they have done nothing remarkable other than not having a "slip-up" in conference play, which is extremely rare for non-elite teams.

We have a huge upside, and a very low downside. ISU's range is much smaller. Any given game I expect them to play as good as the 3rd or 4th best team in the conference.

I disagree - of course they could beat MU on the road. I mean they led most of the game last night.

But I agree with your general point: they are far more consistent. Having a pair of 5th year seniors in your back court along with a first-team post will do that.

played a good schedule, beat bama, beat LBSt, swept mu and beat BU.

can play our way up to a 5 or 6 seed.  don't worry about the seed #, worry about the tournament match up.

LOL.  No.  They have rights to broadcast the WBB tourney games, so plan on seeing seeding breakdowns and a bunch of games the next 3 weeks.
