Doug was really upset about our student section making fun of Suttons DUI, too. His description of it made me sad I missed it.

Haven't fact checked, but interesting:

Quote
In addition to this, Gottlieb was the first to call for Oklahoma State's legendary head coach Eddie Sutton to resign after being arrested for DWI. Boeheim also takes exception to this. According to Boeheim, Eddie Sutton gave Doug Gottlieb a second chance after his conviction at Notre Dame yet he was the first to throw his former coach under the bus when he made a mistake.

Just off the top of my head, Tex Winter.

He was elected as a contributor not a coach, the distinction being his time as a head college coach is largely irrelevant to his induction, his bringing the triangle to Phil Jackson's 11 titles are why he was inducted.

I wouldn't vote Eddie Sutton into the hall of fame but wouldn't have that much of an issue if he was elected, he should be there before Rick Pitino.  There is absolutely East Coast bias when it comes to hall of fame voting and basketball in general.

He spent some time on the radio the other day talking about how he wish he had played for Izzo at Michigan St.  I think he really doesn't like Sutton

He also said he likes the upside for the Cats next year. Mentioned that the KSU coaches were concerned with the ISU match-up when he talked to them before the Mizzou game.

Oh my...

Looking past the #3 team in the country for the upcoming ISU matchup.       Someone go post that on Tiger Board.

Also, if JO goes in the first round, we need to erect billboards at AAU tourny venues say something about how Danny Manning can suck it.

Angel has certainly done a lot for his development, his passing him the ball for dunk shots and what not.  Been very blessed in this regard.

Yes I loved that.

Doug: "How are you guys doing?  Ready for tonight's game?"
Undy: "You know, Iowa St. is a bad match up for us, we're concerned with their outside shooting."
Doug: "What are you going to do to contain Denmon?  Who will guard him?  Are you concerned about the way Mizzou plays in this building?"
Undy: "Um, whatev.  Boy, we're gonna have to hit shots against ISU on Saturday, they don't give us 2nd chance opportunities."
