Speaking of home buying. Just had our offer accepted on a horse hobby farm. 19 acres. 7 paddocks. Two run-ins. Big effin cat barn. Old ass farm house.

Nice, does it come pre-stocked with cats are do you have to bring in your own?

We saw a couple of barn cats that will probably be gifted to us and we're bringing three of our own as well. They also agreed to let us have the dozen or so chickens. Hobby farm well underway.

Around here, local credit unions have the best rates.

I pulled out a bush/tree/weed that was near the slab for my A/C and there was an enormous amount of ants there. They don’t look like termites. I am going to dig out the rest of the stump and then spray around the outside of the house/that area extra spray. This nbd?

Seeing mortgage rates significantly higher than 4% just blows my millennial mind.

Bought our house in 1990... 30 year at 11ish pct.  Rode the refinance train all the way down.

I have a 15 yr at 2.875% right now with a lot of equity in this place and a lot of smart people are telling me to re-fi on a 30 and take ALL of the equity out and do something with it because inflation is obviously going to be around 2.875% anyway. And those are all true things that make me want to do it. THOUGHTS!?

I recently started a new job and on a zoom call today our CEO (old KC money) basically said this.

Exact words were "Inflation is coming so I refinanced all my real estate at 2.whatever this summer but this is not financial advice, just my opinion"
