Sex addiction
While I understand the trepidation, I believe this can be a real problem for some.  Maybe it fits here and maybe not.

I think sex rehab and the ability to be rehabilitated is a real thing. However, the question I have is that if he thinks he is a sex addict why would he go to sex rehab after he is caught on a website for consenting adults but not when he was caught raping kids?

Yeah one is something you should get treatment for because it's a sickness, the other is consensual sex.

Most of the time that person has to want to be saved and be truly sorry for what they have done wrong in order to be saved.  I don't get that repentant type of attitude in this case.  I think he does feel ashamed hence the rehab sesh.  Who knows though

so this brings up my point, where does it say how he judges in this case, because this looks like a split decision.  granted slobber didnt give a long answer

FUN FACT: Pretty sure priests having consensual relations with women is worse, by Canon Law, than priests diddling kids.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

One of many quandaries in this world like the whereabouts of your phone for example.

My reply was a friendly attempt to diffuse the situation itt so that it doesn't get pitted up in here.

So priests diddling with kids should just be ignored, like nic did with his phone?

I mean I don't think you meant that, but it could have been phrased differently I think

My post doesn't say that in any way.  If you need to hear my opinion on the matter then here goes.

Every story I've ever been told, read about, or watched on TV in regards to priest misconduct turns my stomach.  I have been furious about how the church handled it.  Contemplated leaving the church but I still believe in what Jesus taught.  The leaders of the church have mumped up but the teachings that the church are founded on are still valid.  Which is why I am still practicing my faith.  I can explain my views further if you have more questions but that pretty much sums it up.

Well-stated, man.
