They have a sub-par o-line and their QB's suck. But yeah, you're right, Weis is a terrible offensive coordinator. Dude only won three (or was it four?) Super Bowls as an offensive coordinator in the NFL.

One thing for sure, when you're in full blown validation mode, you can roll out some outstanding excuses . . . and the NFL game does not translate into college football and vice-versa and that has been shown to be the case to many times count. The only guy I think of to buck that trend is Pete Carroll and that's because he was at USC and was clearly buying recruits.

We've already been over this. Sumlin/Fedora/etc/etc all won with other coach's recruits.
