Mangino went to four bowls in eight seasons at KU, including a 12-1 Orange Bowl season in which he won National Coach of the Year honors.  He also owned both Mizzou and K-State.  If Weis can do that, I'll be ecstatic.

You're going to be a bit disappointed, beems.  :bawl:

KU has better fans than K-State.  We actually sell out our stadium when the team is good.  KU has better facilities than K-State... and it's really not even close.  KU has equal talent as K-State aside from a few positions.  The only difference the past couple of years was that KU had Turner Gill and K-State had LHC LHC Bill Snyder.  Sorry to break it to you.

You have a track around your field.  End of discussion.

Your pressbox is the smallest in the Big 12, and your stadium is in the middle of a bunch of pig/sheep fields.  Next.
Nope, not as bad as a track

also there are no sheep/pig fields adjacent to KSU athletics property.  :gocho:
also II: pressbox talking point
also III: we don't have MS clip art for decor on any of our facilities

So nice to see O-H happy with KU's football program again.  I'd say KU made a "Weis" hire, here.

"Why are you taking the job at the University of Kansas?"

"Kansas State was 10-2. Why is Kansas 2-10? I don't know, but I'm here to find out."

Does he really not know why?  Charlie, ku has terrible players, coaches, fans, and facilities.  KSU has good players, fans, facilities, and FANTASTIC coaches.  Boom, case closed fat dumbass respect.

ah Oregon Hawk...KU football is so cute and cuddly.

btw, KSU has more wins in football than KU over the past 62 years.  I'd look for that trend to continue.

Nice run y'all had.  Can't wait to see Sean Snyder coaching 'em up in a few years!

Snyder's a robot that we won't turn off for a while.  He'll keep working.  He doesn't need a Tom Brady or Brady Quinn to win.

btw, thoroughly enjoyed your comment about Weis being a good recruiter...you do realize that he's recruiting to Kansas and not Notre Dame, right?  I believe he had a few more options there and that was before his name had taken hits in the college game.  Bombing out at KU and producing the 102nd ranked offense with UFla's talent doesn't do much for his legacy.  That will continue to take a pounding at Kansas.  Snyder's locking his chops over your hire.

We've got a 5-star QB coming in this weekend, and we'll be involved with several big-time recruits/coaches in the coming weeks.  You are so uninformed/ignorant when it comes to this hire that I'm going to assume someone hacked into your account and is posing as the real Manhatter.

Are you referring to the kid at Notre Dame that got beat out by the other QB of a 4 loss team?   He signed two 4 star QBs in '06 and a 5 star QB in both '07 and '08.  He had Notre Dame's top 10 recruiting class talent surrounding them.  His record in '07, '08, and '09 with those kids?  I'm sorry...did you ask for his record with those kids?  The answer is 3-9 in '07, 6-6 in '08, and 6-6 in '09.

Now I must ask...if he had top 10 recruiting classes at Notre Dame and 4 star and 5 star QBs shooting out his butt and produced teams that went a combined 15-21 his last 3 seasons then how is he going to do at KU?  He may recruit okay but they won't be top 10 classes.  If he couldn't win with top 10 recruiting class talent and all of Notre Dame's resources then how is he going to do at KU?

Your replies will be read, considered, and then ignored.  RESULTS are all that matter.  That cool stuff about him coaching Thomas Brady is all coolz and stuff and the appearance of a name might warm you up with fuzzies on a cold winter's night.  But then I remind you of the bottom line...the results.  Five years at Notre Dame....easily a chance to produce RESULTS.  Yet, nothing.

We love your hire.
Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

Poor ku football, not only do they have to deal with a track around their football field, but they just reconfigured their indoor track and left a tiny little sliver of field turf in the middle for football, meanwhile K-State can take its football practices inside an indoor facility that has a regulation sized football field (with practically brand new FieldTurf) and a ceiling high enough they can practice all phases of the kicking game.

But hey, ku's football facilities are vastly superior to K-State's . . . and "it's not even close."

Doesn't matter that he can recruit because he can't develop players

The thing about Reggie Mitchell and recruiting reminds me of Bill Whittemore and quarterbacking.

The new ku football building is very nice, but the "it's not even close" comment is just absurd.

Guys, I'm concerned about the decided tactical advantage little bro has over the Big XII now
