best/riskiest. I'm just excited and terrified for younger bro. He could bounce in 2 years for health or otherwise. Zulu really wanted a name I suppose. Wonder who their QB transfer will be....

Honestly it is a pretty great hire.  Much better than I thought ku was going to pull off.  Zenger is off to a good start.  If Weis is able to bring some talent in and assemble some good coaches it could be a serious bowl worthy program.

Weis is decent.  The potential is there but he has yet to really show it.  Malzahn, Leach and maybe Sumlin I would've put over him.  I would've expected KU to get worse than him though.  I agree with the risk/reward assessment, and with KU having nothing to lose with how bad its team is, might as well go for it.  They will really be in a financial hole if he doesn't work out, between Gill and his contract, and can't imagine them having even the option of firing him.
