They pay him that much as OC? I can't believe that is true but heck maybe it is in this day and age. I'd be all for that guy coaching in Lawrence. The easiest offense to stop in college is a pro style offense without pro level talent. Much harder to defend a spread or defend a mobil QB with a QB run game. Weis is an offensive "genious" who had the worst offensive season in college football history one year at Notre Dame. Florida didn't exactly light it up on offense this year either. Of course they don't have access to talent like KU does.

At that price, I can imagine his seat is super hot. Much less pressure in Lawrence.

What a terrible hire. He couldn't win at Notre Dame, what makes anyone think he'll do better at ku?

Granted, they won't be going 2-10, but they won't be getting much higher than 5-7 or 6-6 in a good year.

Can he even recruit? Do high schoolers even know who he is?

They basically just hired a more experienced Mark Mangino.

Large bad person that treats all around him poorly, but is good at coaching offense.

With a good D coord and with the admin leaving him alone, he will do fine.
