would be a solid hire for them. As would Gary Barnett. Why not go after Tressel if they are going the retread route.

Leavitt yes.  Barnett no.

so they looked at two coaches and they just happened to be the two coaches other than mangino that have fired within the last two years for player abuse. sniff, sniff. i smell a pattern. ku/player abuse u/we abuse our fball players u/the only coach that can win here is one that incorporates player abuse into his system.

Leavitt to ku would be great. He'll get a chance to prove himself in the Big 12, if he succeeds we can hire him away when OB retires again

Mark Stoops was Ohio State's backup if Urban Meyer fell through.  ku will try very hard to get him to coach there now that Meyer has signed with Ohio State.  ku is thinking of a defensive orientation, and they already have Chuck Long doing an OK job with the offensive talent at hand, so Stoops' defensive orientation would be very attractive to them.  If your Sheahon Zenger, you are still stinging from all the offensive records opposing teams hung on you this past season.

I am enjoying that 3 of KU's candidates were fired for player abuse scandals.

My gut says there's a high probability Chuck Long will be on this staff before Snyder leaves again.

I mean, Del Miller is old and will probably retire soon.  Another Iowa guy as QB coach/Asst. OC.  I don't think Long is probably a horrible recruiter, either.  I'd be for it.

So, yeah.

Yeah. Chuck Long is almost old enough to be qualified now.

Bob turned down a chance to go to KU and I think told Mike to pass on the job, too. I sure he wouldn't have Mark ruin is future by taking that dead-end gig.

Last I heard Mike Tomlin was interested to prove what a black man can do at KU.

It is. It was a tie between Wazzu and ku, but since Leach took the job it clearly elevated them above ku in the rankings.
