@mellinger: Disagree w/ me about #KUfball being a good job, but it's better than WSU. Big 12 mess, Leach wanting to be in P12/WC, something else here...

Whether or not ku is a worse job than Wazzu was debatable up till about 5 minutes ago. No debate now, ku is THE worst

Somebody with photoshop skills should turn this guy into the Grinch because he just stole KU's Christmas.

Wow, huge blow to KU. The one job opening that could maybe be as bad as Lawrence and they land KU's pipe dream. Now several football programs run through the coaching gauntlet before Zenger gets to scrape the bottom of the barrel. Shocked.

Question is, what if no one takes ku's offer? Has team ever coached themselves before?

they've got to hire neuheisel, right?

anything less than a home run hire will be devastating for the hawks.

Leach would be a great hire for KU.  They should pull the trigger immediately and start rebuilding.  Great fit.  The other programs with openings can do better imo.

fwiw I didn't know Washington State had an opening when I posted this.  Change KU to KU/WSU.

new talking point..

Quote
Any chance that our AD is also in over his head? I know everyone loved him for actually pulling the trigger on Gill, but that was an obvious choice that just about every AD would have made. During conference re-alignmet we assumed  Zenger had plans for us, yet Bill Self came out later and said KU was basically screwed if the Big XII didn't stay together and that there was no back up plan. - Libhawk

What if Zigs fired Gill thinking that he had Leach locked up but is now finding out he used ku to get more money from WSU.

What if the plane was sent to FL for Leach by ku, and Leach put his cousins family on it instead. The plane went back the next day. Lol

Man I knew this coaching search was going to be great, but this is something else. We've got ku fans meeting families of 4 at the airport thinking they are Mike Leach. We've got Leach choosing Wazzu over them. We've got extreme twitter butthurt and denial. Fescoe may  :goodbyecruelworld: before this is over.

Really wish Leach would have waited longer before picking WSU.

Phog says Fedora.

Not a terrible consolation prize imo, but will wait until I hear it from OregonHawk.

Yeah, that seems like a pretty safe hire.  Plus, he would probably take the job.
