Leach isn't a "player abuser."  Adam James is a little bitch with a helicopter parent.  Leach explains it in his book.

cool story, jim boeheim.

You're really going to compare putting a player in a utility shed to molesting children?  Really?

Whatever you say, JoePa (lol)

It takes some serious wit to make back-to-back Syracuse/Penn State jokes.

 :flush:

You're denying the abuse and defending the abuser, much like the 'Cuse and PSU scandals.  Seems natural that you'd defend a child molester, too.

The Adam James situation was a complete fabrication by ESPN and Texas Tech, and after hearing both sides, I tend to believe Leach's story.  You have the right to believe what you want, but when you compare it to what happened at Syracuse and Penn State, it really puts everything in perspective.

BMWOregonHawk:  Abusing players isn't as bad as sexually abusing children, so it's acceptable.

oh so now ku fans admit to Mangino beating his wife. I remember lots of "That's just stupid grapes making up rumors" back when he was still employed. But hey, covering it up wasn't as bad as what Penn State did, so it's acceptable.

Neither was Mangino.   :gocho:

Not only did Mangino abuse his players (mentally and physically), he abused his coaches and beat the sh*t out of his wife.

So you believe the players in one case and the coach in the other.  c'mon dude.  This just makes you look like spineless sissy.

You didn't answer the question.

Tell me, how did I talk crap on Mangino for abusing players?

I said Mangino wasn't well liked in the K-State community and consistantly pointed out the weak a$$ schedule that Mangino did relatively well against, and also put the very real numbers on the reality of how weak the Big 12 North was.

As far as I can tell, no other Big 12 team has ever gone 2 complete regular seasons and only played 1 regular season game against a Final Top 25 team.

But compared to what Perkins ran Mangino out for . . . what ku fan doesn't pine for Mangino days again?

Go back and look at the allegations that surfaced during Mangino's witch hunt.  It's all on record.  The guy was also constantly dealing with domestic disturbance calls as well.  You know this, 'Pad.

I'm not denying that Leach put James in a utility shed during practice.  Neither is Leach.

No need to pay attention to OK Cat.  He was one of the morons begging for Snyder to be fired all of last year and during the off-season so that K-State could hire Mike Leach.

Yep, done deal.

Ink is drying as we speak.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

It's really confusing watching Ben celebrate after a 2 win season.  Personally I would suggest a little more humility, but that's just me I guess.

I'm not celebrating a 2-win season.  I'm just hopeful that KU will hire a good coach and get the program back to a respectable level again.  The last couple of years have been rough as a KU football fan.

I'm just saying, history indicates that whoever the head coach is at Kansas is gonna be a massive failure.  Also, Leach is a lazy recruiter who will now be out of Texas for the first time ever and his connections have probably dried up the last couple years.  If he was worth a crap he'd probably be taking a job at a real program somewhere.

I wouldn't consider Glen Mason or Mark Mangino to be massive failures.  Massive, yes.  Failures, no.

According to ku fans, Zulu is the first "Football AD" in years at ku.

Really?  Al Bohl fired Terry Allen and hired Mark Mangino, and with the full support of big time basketball boosters at ku, Roy Williams had Al Bohl fired over some issues that pail in comparison to the money laundering/recruit payments that were going on under Lew Perkins.

As long as the basketball junta is allowed to run ku athletics, football will only be allowed to do so much, and it shall never be allowed to over shadow basketball . . . ever.

Roy Williams is at UNC.  KU's current athletic director is a football guy.  What are you blabbering about, 'Pad?
