Judging from the score differentials in the two halves, you would think we played much better in the 2nd than we did in the 1st, but that was not necessarily the case. UMES couldn't miss from 3 early and we had several very make-able shots not fall (38% from the field in the 1st).
Good to see Frank and the boys keep their composure. I wouldn't have guessed being tied with 6 minutes left in the 1st that we would win by 42. It appears from the early games we are a much better 2nd half team (through 3 games we are -2 in the 1st half, and +62 in the 2nd), which is understandable considering we are young and Frank likes to play a deep bench.
I think the young guys are still discovering their roles, but seem to be adapting well and progressing offensively and defensively. We may be a tough team to handle come Big 12 play, though I see us being manhandled by superior athletic teams. Color me mildly optimistic.
