Gip has already blown my expectations for him out of the water. Saw him play about 1 year and a half ago(it was just 1 game) and he showed nothing close to the offensive skill level he's shown early in his career at KSU. Then, to compound things, every recruiting analyst who reported about him raved about his physicality and motor, but noted his lack of height and skill would be obstacles to overcome. Granted, the competition up to this point has not been elite, but I'd say he's well on his way to overcoming those obstacles. UMES was big and fairly athletic up front but still really looking forward to seeing how he progresses as the competition increases.
The hands, the hook, the touch out to mid-rnage, the ability to put the ball on the floor - didn't expect to see any of those this early in his career, but without a doubt, will take.
