What if Webb just had RGIII's arm but his brain and legs were the same. Would KU have won? Only time will tell.

I don't think you realize that KU was Robert Griffin's second choice behind Houston.  Then Briles got hired at Baylor and Griffin came with him.

Wrong, it takes at least two weeks to recover from arm transplant surgery so he wouldn't have even played.

I love how giddy you guys are about KU losing in overtime yesterday, though.  It really shows your team state conference spirit to the fullest.

any ku fan calling for gill's head doesn't have a solid understanding of what is going on. the guy has only had two years and he's playing in a league where according to sagarin, 5 out of the 9 teams he has to play are top 11 in the country. they fire him now and they are starting a 90's-2000's bayloresque trend that will continue for a minimum of ten more years and likely longer. sticking with gill for at least another year or two is their best option.

Yeah, you guys really tanked after firing Ron Prince.

 :flush:

please tell me you aren't comparing the two situations.

that would be like someone saying that person (a) jumped off a building from the first story and lived so person (b) should be able to jump off the same building and live, even when they know that person (b) is planning to jump from the 15th story.

How are the situations any different?

1) kstate gave prince three years. not two like ku people are suggesting doing w/ turner. two years is not enough. just look at snyder's second go around as a good, recent, local example. kstate didn't go to a bowl the first year, almost missed a bowl the second year and are currently 8-2 and are top15 in bcs rankings in the third year. firing a coach after two is beyond Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). college fball takes a while to turn around a team.

2) kstate had a coach that had previously won the big12 in fball and had been in the area coaching and recruiting for twenty years lined up as their head coach when they fired prince. ku does not have this. unless you know something different than what i know. in which case, feel free to share and let's break the news today.

bmw, i think you are forgetting the fact that ku's is now 0-7 this year in the big 12. while they may have played nicely vs baylor, they've lost in many ways this year. when you are 0-7, you can't pin it on a single position. KU is just poor throughout.

Take Reesing off of that 12-1 Orange Bowl team and what is their record?  QB makes a huge difference...

KU 2007 was solid throughout the roster. That defense was tough.

Pfffftttttt.... answer the question.

Um.  Not 1-11 or whatever you guys are this season.

Baylor's a better school.  Can't blame him.

I don't think you realize that KSU almost had Cam Newton, Denard Robinson, Vince Young, etc.

If Gill had a QB like Klein, KU probably has around five wins right now (Tech, Iowa St, and Baylor).

Ron Prince recruited a gem in Klein.

Well said F3.

ku wouldn't win the MAC with Tom Brady at QB and Ray Lewis at LB.  They are the sorriest collection of athletes ever placed on a football field.  They are tiny, slow, and stupid.

OT:  Has ku ever beaten Baylor at football?     KU might be the only school in the conf to have a losing record to Baylor.

Baylor is better.  Big whoop

If KU has Robert Griffin III instead of Jordan Webb, we win yesterday by 40+.

Who is playing QB for Baylor in that scenario?

Not sure... just pointing out that KU isn't that far from being good.  Just need a QB and some good coaching.

Yes, RG3 at qb prevents allowing 70.

No way man, your talent is just as good if not better than ours.

Aside from Klein, it's true.  Don't be so damn butthurt about it.  TIA.

Another KU sympathizer. I figured Kansas Public schools were for retards. It is now confirmed. Get an education, leave this shitty state for a few minutes...or don't and move back to Lawrence, Squawk.

Texas was 9-3 in '07 and lost at home to Ron Prince.  They weren't the "power of the league" that year.

If that Colorado QB recruit can stay out of jail, Turner should be ready to rock next year.
