I see you're so experienced in negotiating compensation agreements. You do know what "Retroactive" means, right? You also kow that it's a component to over half of renegotiated coaching contracts? Oh, you don't...because you aren't involved in negotiating compensation agreements. Better luck with your next post when you write about something you know nothing about.
explain your comment, dumbass. it's the only way i can make an informed post about how stupid it was.
Um, retroactive means that they pay part of the compenastion for past service--so if you can muster your imagination (not holding my breath on that), imagine a contract negotiation in May. One POTENTIAL component of that is for Currie to say, hey look, you were worth more than the $750k+change we were paying you during the season, so we'll RETROACTIVELY pay you an additional (insert appropriate dollar amount here) for that portion of your services during that period.
It may seem difficult to understand for you, that that's what it means. It allows payment for past service that was undercompensated in order to clarify the fair market value of FUTURE service (you know, the new contract).
That you require clarification in order to tell someone how stupid they are speaks volumes about your overall knowledge of this discussion--and it's not a flattering picture, DUMBASS.
