If the organ becomes swollen it can lacerate and cut quite easily, often times from simple contact.

Unless they're both ruptured, I'm not sure what the problem is.  Take out the bad one and play on.  Next thing you know someone will miss a game from swollen tonsils.  JFC.

I've never had a visible laceration that required two months to heal but haven't the slightest idea how long it takes a kidney laceration to heal, but I suppose it depends on the size and depth of the laceration.

2001 was a terrible year.  98 Bishop, 03 Sproles, and 11 Klein all win the Heisman that year.
