This week, Kevin Lockett has encouraged Tyler to fight through the wear and tear that all players experience late in the season with a positive mind-set. Coming off back-to-back losses, the Wildcats could use some extra energy in practices.

“Physically, he’s pretty much like everyone on the team — beat up a little bit,” Kevin Lockett said. “But he’ll be just fine. That’s where you’ve got to be mentally tough. I visited with him last night, and he is very excited about where he’s at and is looking forward to helping his team win its final three games.”

Gotta think the baby-faced-wonder-runner-captain-of-all-burner-team is ready to roll for more playtime.  Otherwise, dad just publicly called him a pussy.

I never suffered a lacerated kidney during my playing days but my younger brother did in high school.  He's a tough guy but he still had to miss a game because he lost so much blood from it.  K-State's probably got a better training staff than any high school, but then again trainers can't really do much about a lacerated kidney.  My brother's laceration was pretty severe and he still only missed one game, so if Lockett really does have a lacerated kidney he shouldn't miss much time.

If true we need to find out what Lockett's blood type is and get a line of donors with a matching blood type down to Vanier ASAP.  Maybe you can play through a lacerated kidney as long as you are getting a transfusion whenever you aren't on the field.

I don't really know anything about kidneys? I'm assuming a lacerated kidney is much better than a disease, though. Is that correct?
