I've liked the pressure we've gotten from our D-line this year so far, even when we don't blitz.  They're the key, IMHO.  If we can rattle Landry, then OU's beatable.  If he has time, I'm afraid of Broyles.  On the other side, OU's D CAN stop the run, so CK's going to have to hit a big pass or three. I'd love for McDonald to light up their safeties like OU's humongous TE lit up Coop back in the Big XII champ game back in the day.

It should be a fun one to watch - sad I can't be there in Manhappiness - make noise for those of us off the purple grid.

This is beautiful, btw:

Far more concerned about him deep than Broyles although nervous about tackling Broyles underneath so he doesn't pop one because he's pretty good after the catch.

Jfc, anyone else going to worry about Hartman getting smoked?  :ohno:
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

RE: OU. How can one team have so many players with such beautiful names???? It has always been this way for them and I don't understand it or think it is fair.

I'm thinking it will be a lot like the 1st half at Tech except we won't have any non-offensive TDs.  The only thing that makes me feel good about this game is that OU hasn't been all that impressive outside of the Texas game.

Pretty funny that there best win is against an unranked FSU team (unless you think their best win is against Missouri).  And they are picked to beat us by 14

we can win this game doing 3 things
1. dont put hartman in any situation where he could get burnt. if this means playing nickel the whole game do it.
2. no turnovers/big mistakes
3. solid defense and speical teams (including a def./st touchdown or two)

It should also be mentioned that OU has one of the best if not the best TE in the conference in James Hanna.  We've had a somewhat difficult time it seems covering opposing TE's (I can remember many instances in the Tech and Missouri games where their TE's were able to make some big plays), so we need to not only worry about their WR's getting down the field, but also covering the TE's in the middle of the field.

Besides covering all of their receivers, playing good defense and winning the turnover battle, I think the wild wildcats win this one easy.
