I would love for 'Gina to be OC and the Pirate to prowl the sideline in Manhappiness (an over-the-top fantasy)
Would take.

Leavitt, Mangino, Leach, Mike Stoops. We could coalesce all of the misanthropic psychopaths who have been cruelly cast off by their former schools into the greatest coaching staff of all time....

Would pay to see...

Put those four into a pit with Craig James.  :peek:

LHC Bill Snyder is a very, very smart man. His Kansas State team is 6-0 because Snyder understands sustained excellence in a way few do. If he hasn't already looked long and hard at Mangino as his replacement, odds are he will soon enough.

Incredible that anyone thinks OB is looking at anyone other than Sean as his replacement.

Kansas' football team is historically bad and on track to cough up one of the most humiliating seasons in major college football history.

I see what you did there, Bill...

Mangina had one great season because of a solid defensive player (Talib), an overachieving QB (Reesing) that no one saw coming, and a favorable schedule.  Does not equal great coach.

Yes. Those players would have all been Jayhawks regardless of who was the coach, no doubt.

Mangino would have been the next Bear Bryant if all the anti-fat bigots in Lawrence hadn't ruined him.

mangino is not a good coach.

If true this pretty much guarantees that Snyder will hire him.

Snyder's big thing has always been loyalty, I could see Snyder hiring Mangino as OC or co-OC (cause we know he would never fire dimel/miller and we all know bill is calling the plays anyway), mangino works for snyder for a few years and proves he can coach without hitting players then moves on to bigger and better things (not HC here) and snydz helps out an old buddy

Snyder is very loyal but he also holds grudges.  Not sure if he and Mangino are exactly buddies at this point.

I love how everyone that writes an article about Mangino fails to mention he went 1-7 in conference his final year.

that's fair but I think that team had semi revolted against him in the middle if the year due to what was going on and Perkins not supporting him. obviously wouldn't want him as a head coach but would love to have him on staff.

If we brought Mangino in, I would assume that means either Dana or Del is retiring.

You guys are delusional.  LHC Bill Snyder is only 72.  He'll be at k-state for at least 15 more years.  Get used to being ranked in the BCS.

Mangino was on the sideline at Miami, I'm guessing Syndz doesn't let that happen if he holds a grudge

If we brought Mangino in, I would assume that means either Dana or Del is retiring.

I could see one retiring, and 'gino getting a co-OC spot (if he can't find anything better), but I wouldn't put it past OB to have 3 co-OC's just to get one of his old buddies a nice paycheck and back into the coaching game

Having a dude who may or may not be coaching against you someday on your sideline is not common practice, especially with Bill.
