Unless that freshman setter is a wunderkind (was ranked around No. 100 in her class) and someone steps up at OH2... it's going to be a long year - even with, arguably, one of the top 10 players in school history at OH1. Looks like the St. Mary's transfer will get the first shot at the OH2 based on the preseason exhibition vs. Wayne State (a moderately good DII program that took us to five). Vs. Wayne State, Hinkle was the setter in the second game after the freshman started the match. They might have run a 5-2 - hard to say just based on the box score.
The non-conference looks like a cakewalk based on the names, but there are several mid-majors that are quality programs that could very well beat us (Sam Houston, FAMU, Loyola, North Florida, etc.). It's quite possible that we go 0-3 in our own tourney to start the year. But, it's Fritz, so who knows. Let the roller coaster begin...
