We should be able to handle Wichita State. I've bitched about this a million times but the NCAA's insistence on putting these teams in the same pod over and over is complete bullshit.

KState vs Wichita State with the winner facing Nebraska can almost be penciled in every year at this point

I think the cats lost the first set, but are leading 20-15 in the second.

That's not a good loss and those last two sets were poop. We've also played this "we're young" game before only to have key defections.

Possible difference makers playing at other Big 12 schools, originally 98% set on going to Kstate.   Until Suz pulled her "I need a decision right now" routine, totally turning recruit and parents off.

Same as any other Olympics sports coach; embarrass the school or be a habitual loser. She hasn't done either and she won't do either.

Kansas State athletic director John Currie says the school is working on a contract extension for volleyball coach Suzie Fritz.

Fritz has led the Wildcats’ volleyball team since 2001, winning 295 games and making 11 NCAA Tournaments. K-State is coming off a 17-win campaign in which it posted a winning conference record without a single senior on the roster.

The season ended with a loss to Wichita State in the NCAA Tournament.

Currie said he is proud of the work Fritz has put in and is eager to see what she can do next season, and beyond, with a young team returning.

“She has done a tremendous job,” Currie said. “We look forward to her continued success with the K-State volleyball team.”
