Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

My Chesapeake bay retrievers name growing up was Tater. Got him when I was in middle school, he passed away in 2009. Such a good boy.

ok but can you live with the fact that BMW basically named your dog?

Ron White reference Tater Salad

The wrecker in Cars movies was named Tater voiced by Larry the Cable Guy

When my dog died 5 months ago I was pretty positive I wasn't going to get another dog but seeing how cute Tom's pup is making me reconsider.

One year in to my covid dog. She is pretty great, very smart. I did the adoption thing for the first time. I had previously only had a full breed lab and he will always be my favorite dog. Current pup is like 99% lab from what I can tell. Looks just like a lab, but has a couple markings. I can't tell if the 1% is pitbull (not the singer) or if she is just an bad person from living on the streets. When she does something bad and I get after her, she gives me a look like "I will bite your ass". My previous doggie would just cower. She is very good though and good with the kids. Dogs are great and also a pain in the ass.

great point, i'll effort this at some point. Also, can you not see the pick of my previous pal in my sig anymore? He has a sweet Doom collar that I had made for him. I see the pic still but it has a weird photobucket marker on it and I don't ever remember using photobucket so i have no idea if you guys can even see the pic anymore?

My mom's husband takes their dogs out to a concert amplitheater in the suburban bay area to run around and play and stuff. It's a big open space and usually no one is around.

Anyway he was walking them there over the weekend and one of them disappeared for a few minutes but came back fairly quickly. When they got home, the dog that disappeared started acting very strangely. Very paranoid and scared. Didn't appear to recognize my mom or her husband, and was randomly ducking and moving like she was seeing things. She would get bursts of energy and run circles in the yard to a point where they got worried enough to take her to an er vet.

They do some tests and the dog is od'ing on meth and ecstasy. She's severely overheating so the vet sedates her and does what they can. They reach out to the pet poison control board who recommends a certain medicine. After calling around 25 pharmacies my mom finally found one that stocks it in Oakland. They get the meds and it seems to help. She had to stay at the vet for 3 more days.

After they took the dog to the vet, my mom was determined to find where the dog got into these substances so they went back out to amplitheater and after some searching found a homeless encampment hidden away around the same place the dog disappeared.

Pretty scary times, but she appears to be recovering fine.

Do they think some sicko gave it to the dog or that it found some and gobbled it up?

Coordinate with me next time you go out there to see if I can come down and choke some people.
