Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

I should say she's large for her breed. Most females top out at 60-65. Vet estimates she still has 5-7lbs left

Just wants to devour the treat in my hand. Pretty much the only way to get her to sit still.

The vet did recommend to put her on "Large Breed" puppy food. dunno what that means, but we did it! Only the best for this hound dog

No, more fat in the food. As my dog was getting older and dropping weight my vet had me put her on puppy food. It would help put on weight or her case slow down her weight drop.

I know what the puppy food is for, just not the "large breed" part. don't really care either. she seems to enjoy it. Once a week (after we do scent training sesh's) if she's good she gets chicken and rice for dinner. man she really goes crazy for that stuff.

large breed is less nutrient dense so that the pups grow slower because growing too fast can cause joint problems in larger dogs.  some brands also have stuff that is supposed to help with joint health, but afaik no one really knows if they work or not.

no offense, but your pup actually looks very slightly on the tubby side, so less nutrient dense food is probably a good idea even if liblib thinks she's small.

He is right about the size of the kibble. That is the only different.

unfortunately, that's not accurate.

is this a good place to complain about the incredibly shrinking kibble?  when i was a young man any number of dog foods would give you a nice big robust kibble.  now the world is awash in these rough ridin' mini-kibble grains of sand.  who the eff decided that all dogs wanted to eat dwarf kibbles and why aren't there contrarian companies that refuse to slavishly follow the mindless horde?
