I think they have a bunch of health issues. My gf's family has a German/Malamute and he has seizures a couple times a year. He's young too :(

He's pretty hilarious though. Got zero desirable German shepherd traits though so he's kinda dumb and uncoordinated but adorable and loving.

I inherited a 12 year old golden retriever. I don't know if I can go back to puppies. He's so chill and loving and already housebroken (obvs) and I just don't know if I could deal with a high energy pup every again.

i'm seriously reconsidering the wisdom of getting puppies v adult dogs. puppies really are a pain in the ass. oth, it's only a very brief time period.
