Promoted to a salaried position (my first ever) with the company I started with a couple months ago.

I countered their initial offer and they accepted my counter. Which means I didn't counter high enough but oh well.

100% of insurance premiums covered.

Assorted other incentives and bonuses.

Flexible work hours and freedom to work from home some days. It's a relaxed environment in a small company. I'll be working directly under the owner and he's very accessible but also very hands off.

I'm excited about the new opportunity. The potential for growth and travel. The challenges it will provide. Also the fact that a lot of my strengths will be put to use. Most of all, I am appreciated and respected.

It was just a long winding explanation as to why I don't think I'll be taken advantage of. The truth is, I don't know. We shall see and I'll keep my eyes open.

i have 2, maybe 3-4, depending on the fall. 1) an independent pizza place in white center, seattle, that is universally adored, chill af, and full of punks with tats and other great staff. free pizza, fam/punky atmosphere, and zero mental responsibility after i leave. 2) a job teaching special ed at a middle school. wonderful kids, great school, much free swag, and every day i feel good about what i do.

3) prolly selling tulips at pike place market on saturday mornings
4) prolly gillnetting in puget sound oct/november, bc i hate my life and am an inveterate fisherman who hates my body
