If TCU and the Cats both win out and then KSU beats TCU in the conference championship game, who goes to the Sugar Bowl? We would have won the Big 12, but TCU would have the better record. Are they obligated to take the Big 12 champion either way? If so, a 12-1 TCU team would be going to the the cheez it bowl?

TCU would go to the Cotton Bowl. They can lose a regular season game and that would still be their fate. The only way TCU doesn't make the NY6 is if they lose out.

Not necessarily, the SEC picks who they want in the Sugar Bowl so they could choose Alabama simply to avoid a rematch. The Big 12 is more prescriptive in that if the Champions goes to the CFP then the 2nd place team goes to Sugar

Brooo what are you even going off about. Hotel prices have gone up a lot since pre-pandemic, especially in touristy places, I was surprised at how cheap they were.

Jesus.  You guys and your first world problems.  Would you just take one minute and consider the anguish that KU Karl is going through right now?  He has to decide whether to make he and Karla's annual pilgrimage to the piss barn to watch a noncon mid week Christmas break game against a low major from the upper corner seats or put those funds towards a trip to their bowl game.  I would love to hear @sonofdaxjones weigh in on this KU Karl conundrum.
