If team Wefald/Weiser would have hired Raheem, they'd have looked like geniuses.

to be fair to Ron, Raheem was the assistant to the assistant DB coach in Tampa, a true DITR.

Too bad he quickly grew to hate RP

Ron takes a ton of crap but his actual results were 2nd go around snyder'esque.  Had he been white he would be looked at much differently by our stupid fanbase.

I look at his tenure as I look at Bill's second.  Both need to go.

Ron competed with Bill's recruits, peaked early. Bill competed with Ron's recruits and had an average first 2 years. I look for there to be big strides in the next couple of years. If Bill can't pull us back out, then no one can.

He was the assistant DB coach, not the assistant to the assistant DB coach.  JFC, how many assistant coaches do you think NFL teams have?

We definitely have to hire our next coach out of the Ron Prince tree. Nobody else can win here. I say we pursue Wallerstedt.

I say we try and pluck Freemaw from the Bucs. Would be a fantastic hire.

Regardless of anything concerning Snyder (he certainly was not the answer to replace Ron), almost everything Ron gets he deserves. I will even say he did a decent job his first year, but his last two years were a complete trainwreck. The fact that he had a QB who became a NFL star in his 2nd year, yet couldn't coach his team to a bowl game in his last two seasons deserves everything negative people say about him and more.

Ron Prince knew how to hire coaches. Just imagine a coach who not only was hired by Prince, but was able to land a wife hot enough for Ron Prince to take to bed. Just imagine that.

Prince's original assistants were BA but they quickly dropped after that.  And lets not ignore the sudden drop in talent under Ronny.  Remember Dold and Lamark being startings RBs?  Now we have BB, Hubert, Pease, Demac, Rose, etc...

Sometimes thinking Ron Prince was mostly clueless as a football coach has nothing to do with Snyder, nor is it an endorsement for Snyder. JMHO.

agree.

also, this year with bill, we are looking like we should be a bowl team. that wouldn't be the case w/ ron, so the whole rp v obz debate isn't really one for people being honest. i would actually be ok w/ the bill hiring if he was doing what he said he was doing which was calming the waters. coach until we can grab a great replacement like leach or rich rod and then go quietly into the wind and we could love him forever. that isn't happening though. i want it to work out so bad. i wanted prince to work out so bad too though. same things with wools and every other ksu coach ever. it's frustrating and there are a million things that bill is doing that are just so god damn frustrating. idk.

Ron Prince = Tom Asbury when it comes to how I remember him as a coach at K-State. I won't necessarily remember Snyder as well as I might have if things finish as badly as they could in his 2nd tenure, but I'll never view him like Asbury or Prince.

oh god. he's def no asbury or prince.

i'm mad at bill because we could've had patterson. i'm mad at him because we could have leach. i dislike snyder right now for those things, plus the whole sean as coach and tate gets a scholly and i won't fire cosh and i can't attract and keep recruiters and coaches and let them just recruit and coach because i'd rather have them sit at their desks and play solitaire all day, etc.

Snyder's overall tenure looks similar to Hartman's, though Snyder inherited a train-wreck,and his final few seasons probably won't be as bad as Hartman's.  Both will be beloved forever and deservedly so.  Hopefully Bill does "calm the waters" with a couple 7/8 win seasons and set up the talent for some hotshot to come in and take over.  A hot shot who is chosen by superstar ADJC and megastar UPKS.

K-State 2025 ---> NABF and Meat Goat fame/$$$$, Manhattan pop.  over 100k, KSU enrollment up to 30-35k and some baller head coach heading into his 12th year of splendid football.
agree.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
