purchasing a car off of kstatecars.com thread.

if anyone can explain to me how this can happen, I'm all ears. did briggs purchase a bulk of points at a discount or something similar to what cc companies do with airline miles. seems weird, no?

buy a fball season ticket...one point
donate a hundred dollars...three points
buy a 1999 JEEP CHEROKEE CLASSIC SPORT UTILITY 4D for $3995... one hundred points.

of course. I mean, obviously. this makes total obvious sense.

Can I get one of the new suites at $349/season ticket if I have 100 points?
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

yeah, it seems like you could churn through this in no time.  what can ahearn points be used for?

i'll be blunt here tortuga. ahearn points can suck a Dick for all I'm concerned. I'm just curious how the eff the god damn car lot can give you a hundred of them for purchasing a three thousand dollar nine year old dodge neon. I mean, if I go and dump off three thousand dollars on the ahearn fund doorstep tomorrow, I only ninety points. the math does not add up tortuga. too much salt water? jackass.

looks like someone here who opted to donate to the ahearn fund rather than buy an old grand cherokee just realized he could have done both.

yeah, but no. If I wanted to get ahearn points though, i'd absolutely buy the cheapest car on their lot, turn around and sell it. rinse, repeat. that's not the point though. the point is...how does this make since for briggs? are they getting an unlimited amount of ahearn points on the cheap? can other people give people ahearn points? like, can I advertise my crappy rental house fsbo with the understanding the the washer and dryer stays and the purchaser can also have all of my ahearn points? does kstate own briggs? does briggs own kstate? I don't understand any of this. buy a big mac at third street McDonald's and get .2 ahearn points? when and where does it end? where does it start? these are all questions we should be asking. the trial of the system is just starting.

Seems pretty shitty that someone who has been supporting kstate for years and spent more money can lose priority to some jackass who rolls up in a 2004 Chevy Aveo.  Chevy Aveo or no, I'm probably more EMAW.

Sounds like we need a goEMAW exclusive to dig up the dirt on this one.  Who did you guys get to fill the spot Beth Mendenhall declined?  eff, this would've been right in her wheelhouse.

Seems like a Grand Cherokee is probably a wise investment.

Where on earth is the dilemma here?

good god. in Snyder and kstate and russ briggs we trust I guess. this place is worse than gopowercat anymore. dead people are fair game but how dare you question a big kstate advertiser and kstate and the ahearn fund.

Seriously though- I would imagine that Briggs donated a crap ton of money to the fund and was allowed to give the pts accumulated as a sales incentive.  Also, doubt you could just buy any car off the lot and get the hundo.
