Don't you guys hate it when you're fishing off the coast of Alaska and you have a halibut on your line that probably weighs about 40 pounds and then a goddamn rough-and-tumble gang of sea lions comes along and eats the crap out of the prize fish you're bringing in, then you have to reel up just an enormous severed halibut head?

Guys, I'm not really a fisherman so bear with me. Is it normal policy when fishing to only be allowed to catch Ling Cod up to 44 inches long? Canadian friend of mine had to fudge the sheets three different times and pretend like the fish caught were way smaller than they actually were to fit into the 44" limit. Just wondering if anyone else has any experience effortlessly catching three fish so massive that you actually have to shrink them on your report to make them legal.
