email campaign should start right now.

"John,

We understand that you're a Tennessee guy and that this is your dream job.  We appreciated your time here, and ask that you do us a favor and fire Snyder and his entire staff before you leave.  We'll make a statue in your honor where Steve Dave will crush ballsacks and taints before future games.

Sincerely,

Everybody"

Step 1: Currie leaves for Tennessee.

Step 2: Bill steps down for "health concerns" before a new AD is hired.

Step 3: Sean is named interim head coach.

Step 4: Sean beats KU.

Step 5: Sean is officially named head coach.

It sucks that this isn't ridiculous  :frown:

the bbs'ing oppys will be epic tho.

Currie sent out one of his AD update letters today about how much ass he has kicked in 2 years, etc.  Bet he blind cc'd his pals at UT on it.  :frown:

Step 6:  $75 Million West side expansion to the football stadium gets scrapped.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Tucks would pony up if Sean takes over....Bill is destined for the AD position. Kansas State nepotism begins to rival that of any self respecting autocratic regime...

Currie took part in the hiring of Pearl and Kiffin. It wouldn't surprise me if that constitutes automatic rejection in the eyes of the search comm.

Come on, Currie can't fire Snyder now . . . get real.

I think Currie's overall lack of tenure and not having hired any coaches at KSU is going to be an issue.

I don't see why Castiglione would go to Tenn.  From a financial perspective OU is just as big as Tenn.

Currie can't fire Snyder now.  Nor should he.  Yeah, it's funny to bash Snyder, but he's a good coach.  And, like it or not, we've actually got a pretty good crop of players.  If we take a step back this year and don't make a bowl game, fire his old ass.  But, if we win 7 or 8 games (possible), and make it back-to-back bowl games, there won't be too much to complain about IMO.

With respect to Curry, I really hope that his tenure and lack of experience are huge mitigating factors.  Yeah, the guy can fundraise.  But, with a fanbase like Tennessee, won't any AD be able to fundraise?  I would imagine that experience in hiring and managing coaches is a big priority for them, so that they don't run into Pearl/Kiffin 2.0 in a few years.

Unless they are dumbasses, Pearl 2.0 is exactly what they should be hoping for.

eff 6 wins, I want no less than 8.  We win 8 (regular season) games and I will feel fine with Snyds sticking around.  6-7 wins and Cosh has to go.  Less than 6 wins and we implode the whole thing and try our luck with whatever staff we can bring in.
