Can you imagine the next AD that schulzy is gonna hire? I mean, JFC. It's gonna be some bionic robot with an unmatched work ethic and a heart of gold.

We had just better hope that Harvard doesn't catch wind of our rankings in next year's US News.

Of course he is. Only a Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) wouldn't try to get that job with his connections.

Tennessee ties are immaterial 4 UT AD. Led to believe three prominent candidates: John Currie, Mizzou's Mike Alden, Cincinnati's Mike Thomas

Think there's anyway Frank can send Mike Alden to a non-accredited school in Miami so that he eventually ends up as the AD of UT?

Anyone who didn't think that Currie would'nt be hanging out back by the stage door on that gig is flat out dumb.

It's a 100 million dollar athletic department.  Yeah, they're going to be in some NCAA trouble.   But they fill a 100,000 seat stadium.   There's only 2 sports anybody really cares about in the entire state, Vol Football and Lady Vol Basketball, the Titans come in a distant 3rd.    Tennessee has 4 million more people than Kansas, and the Knoxville MSA is nearly 800K people.

Hello . . . Hello . . .

This would throw our fanbase right back to the "get someone that really wants to be here" mantra. Assuming they don't think that way already.

Step 1: Currie leaves for Tennessee.

Step 2: Bill steps down for "health concerns" before a new AD is hired.

Step 3: Sean is named interim head coach.

Step 4: Sean beats KU.

Step 5: Sean is officially named head coach.

Let's be proactive and trade him straight-up for some extra orange/white checkerboard turf and use that for the EZSOD.

I want to make it clear to schulzy (he reads the board) that he must hire another AD from the SEC.  Must.

Have Schulz' personal assistant fill on Pres. duties (flying around, olive garden, etc.) and make Schulz AD.

IMO the only 2 things that keep Currie from moving on to Tenn are:  1.  Still relatively new to the AD position and has not made a coaching hire.   2.  Ties to Pearl.

Other little things to think about:  If Dooley isn't pooping tiffany cufflinks in the next 2 years Vol Nation will demand his firing and will fully support it.   Counterpoint, VolNation will come unhinged if the replacement isn't incredible, and will immediately blame the AD.

The demand to win will be more intense, they're not the "just happy to be here" types at Tennessee like we have at K-State.   The SEC rivalries are just so much more intense as compared to the Big 12.  It's not even close.   They all hate each other and Tenn has been embroiled with controversy and accousations with Florida, Bama, LSU, and they've also got Georgia and South Carolina just down the road, it's nuts.

I'm all for Currie leaving if it means we can find an AD with a large enough nutsack to fire Bill immediately.

And when I say immediately, I want it to be the primary focus of his job pitch to Schulzy. And when he gets the job, he calls Bill right away and tells him to clean out his office.
