Leaving for Chicago this afternoon on SW and just got this email from southwest, free TV on the flight!!!

View a list of compatible devices.

E-mail      Classic & Recent Releases
Kid Friendly Options
* Wifi and Movies are priced all day per device on Wifi-enabled aircraft.
** To provide top-notch web browsing to all Customers, we prohibit access to select streaming services.

WiFi, TV and Movies are all offered separately. You do not have to purchase WiFi to enjoy TV or movies.
Should you change your flight, have a connecting flight, or if operational circumstances result in an aircraft swap, please note that the alternate aircraft may not be equipped with WiFi, TV, and movies.
For travel to/from San Juan Puerto Rico: WiFi, TV, and movies are not currently available for the entire duration of your flight.

Once onboard and the Flight Attendant has indicated it is safe to turn on approved WiFi-enabled devices, simply select "Southwest WiFi" from the available networks and launch your web browser to be directed to the Southwest Airlines Inflight Entertainment Portal. From there you can access free TV, track your flight or purchase WiFi and movies.

had this on a recent flight to Denver, pretty meh.    Check out the deal page though, we saved $35 on a dinner we were planning anyway with a groupon-type deal they offer on the broswer page.

New Orleans was the best. I think I drank about a million beers. I prefer it to Vegas for bachelor parties. (and it's not even close).

vegas seems like one of the shittier bachelor party destinations I can think of. in all honesty, I'd rather go to almost any big city for something like that.

True, but staying close to Bourbon Street is tough to beat. I mean you have great food, insane amounts of booze, and a ton of gentlemen's clubs within walking distance. Plus if you aren't a total doofus you can do a couple cultural things while you're there.

I wasn't prepared for how LOOOOOONG Bourbon Street was.

I am torn between going to the Baylor game and just going to New Orleans.  Haven't been in 5 years and GF has never been.  Rebirth Brass band would be playing the weekend I was there and I think that would be an elite show/atmosphere.

it's true. gambling in a large group is difficult. people fragment all over the place.

That's a good point but the way it has worked on the 2 bachelor parties I have been too is that we all hang out together during the day at the pool, go get some dinner, then hit the tables. People will usually stay in the same casino until around 1am and then everyone splinters off....had one guy walk to the rio and try to get in his room, only prob is we were staying at hardrock (barf).

Besides Cat football there is nothing better on earth than walking down the strip 10 deep pounding alcoholic beverages under the neon lights.

feels more elite (to me) to do that in a city where everybody else isn't doing the same thing. it's subjective obviously.

I disagree, had a lot more fun at Bachelor Party in Nashville than I did in Chicago.

The reason? Tons of bachelorette parties to creep on in Nashville.

O really, you are from out of town and here with 10 girls? Whatdoyaknow, I'm here from out of town with 10 bros!

Other knocks against Vegas: kind of boring after a couple visits if you don't like gambling.

Why would you go to vegas if you don't like gambling?
