had to cancel my san diego trip because I'm now moving in December and that money is going toward a moving truck.

but did book two flights for weddings:

D.C - 10/11 - 10/14 - Wedding on the 12th, gonna do all the sights on Sunday/Monday.  Have been before but have been wanting to go back.

Milwaukee - 11/30 - 12/01 - Staying for less that 24 hours because eff these people for scheduling a wedding in Milwaukee in goddamn Nov/Dec the weekend of the KU game

staying here: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g60864-d111983-Reviews-JW_Marriott_Hotel_New_Orleans-New_Orleans_Louisiana.html

I like all kinds of food. Preferably things I can't eat here. I think we're planning on at least one meal at Jaques-Imos.

That hotel is like 8 blocks away from cochon and cochon butcher.  Both are absolutely fantastic.

I am a big fan of Felix's Oyster Bar.  It is super simplistic and looks like a mid level cafe but their oyster poboy and gumbo are my fav in the quarter.

Also, Oceana is really good, but the atmosphere is like a cajun applebees.

Deannies gets a lot of pub, but I have tried it a couple times and wasn't impressed. I wouldn't recommend it unless you like fried seafood and fried seafood.  My impression was that is their version of red lobster.

I really like cafe fluer de lis (sp) for breakfast, but it is stuff you can get most anywhere in the south, just really good

Drago's is pretty well known for their oysters. Everyone gets the chargrilled oysters but you can get them uncooked as well.

Good call. It's more if you've been there a few times and you're looking to get away from the FQ.

Yes, that's cool. Also, they have grave, ghost, and swamp tours. May I suggest the grave tours. It's pretty cool. Everything is above ground.

You can also do a riverboat ride right off the river dock in the French quarter. They do southern comfort food and tell you the history of all the ports.

Booked 2 nights at Aria for the weekend of the OSU football game for $150 a night all in. I'm going to wait to see if I get targetted for a better room/rate when they match Hyatt status on the 20th but thought I'd go ahead and get it reserved.

going to a bachelor party in New Orleans. what should we eat, do, etc.

Friday lunch at Gallatoire's is fun if you can get there by 11 to get your name on the list for a table downstairs and then get a seat at the bar while you wait.

May not be for you or the group you're with, but a hair cut and shave while sipping irish whiskey at Aiden Gill can be a nice way to spend an afternoon.

Co-sign on Cochon. The food is great and GQ says their sazerac is one of the best cocktails in the U.S. That's a stretch, but it's worth trying imo.
