wow, 11 year old mocat would have gone absolutely nuts for that movie (current all grown up mocat is going absolutely nuts as well)

yeah, I LOVE the Cars movies. This MAY be even better.

the first cars was pretty perfect. second cars my goodness you almost need a phd in movie plots to decipher what is going on half the time. too much clutter. thumbs sideways for that one.  :don'tcare:

but man those racing scenes and gadgets 'mater got were cool

well if mater gadgets are cool then consider that movie a myles davis biography.  :don'tcare:

Mater Tall  tales is pretty good,  there is an airplane one and a monster truck one that is  pretty  great.  http://movies.netflix.com/Movie/Cars-Toons-Mater-s-Tall-Tales/70150438
just a fyi for those  that  may not spend a  lot of time watching  the Disney channel.

 :D

SD, saw a prolonged preview this weekend when took the kids to Despicable Me2.  Get this:  It's centered around a crop duster trying to race other planes and stuff.

 :surprised:

Isn't St. Pete' a bunch of olds?

I am also interested in this answer though.

Also, would love some pro tip input on whether there is anything worth going to see in North or South Carolina?  Something really near a beach preferably.  TIA.

Charleston is very nice. Beaches there are kinda grassy. not, like, surfing snorkeling type beaches but more picnic and walk around type beaches if that makes sense.

If you're in DC in the summer and feel like rolling the dice, request the gov per diem rate when booking your hotel (this has to be done directly with the hotel, no hotels.com tomfoolery). They may say you need to show gov id (which you're supposed to do) but this is my 3rd hotel so far and I haven't shown anything but my drivers license, while getting rates 150-250 below list. No one's asked me for anything. Still get full points/rewards tho.

Doesn't your drivers license correspond with your gov employment? If not then lets all party
