i can see continents very easily.  maybe my eyes are more keen to base layers than other peoples.  also, maybe the author is a complete dumbass.

He's saying that it's just a black board with the flight paths illuminated.  The flights themselves make up the shapes of the land masses.

that's not a base layer.  let me tell you- maybe you just can't see the base layers.

He's saying there ARE NOT BASE LAYERS!  :curse:

I don't get why the lines in places like greenland are so bright.

very low GIQ, royal arctic shipping

yeah, but they're brighter than the New York to London lines. I mean really?

SanFran trip recap (mostly ate):

Rich Table: Really really good.  Good deal on a tasting menu.  Good price
Incanto: Also really really good.  Was surprised to see Chris Cosentino actually working there.  He was super friendly and cool
French Laundry: Lived up to expectations.  Service and food were both phenomenal.  Staff was really fun and atmosphere was not pretentious at all.  Didn't leave me feeling a need to go back though
Morimotos: Really creative dishes on their tasting.  Would love to go back and just order off the menu though.  Very fun place.
In-N-Out: Never been before and everyone talks it up.  Really didn't impress me much.  Ok or whatever for fast food.
Stinking Rose: Every dish is centered around garlic.  Was a novelty restaurant.  Do not try the Garlic Ice Cream

Also, a taco place in Berkley, noodle place in Union square, and Oxbow market in Napa were great.  Michigancat met at a bar where some doc brown looking dude was handing out weed to get dates.  Food was pretty awesome throughout the trip.  Would love to go back and eat more.

I love In 'n' Out. Of course it's fast food. But it's much better than most.

My take on the In-N-Out seems in contrast to the cool kids stance.  I think my expectations may of been high with everyone talking it up.

You're still correct though, it's highly overrated by white midwesterners.

I think I would just rather have jalepenos and bacon on my burger.  I would be onboard with In-N-Out in that scenario.  Also, my fries weren't crispy

i like in n out just fine.  it's good- like winsteads.  if i'm in LA though my burger priority is Father's Office on Montana or The Counter. i mean, who really wants to drive to culver city for fast food?  or for any other reason (sony employees excluded  gotta go to work!).
