Going to Chicago in May. EXCITED!!!
me too!

maybe i'll see you!

 :excited:
I saw you at the Fiesta bowl, but didn't say hi. By the time you wandered in we were already losing and I was upset. :(
You definitely should have said hi.  I was having a blast.
oh, I could tell.
Where did you get that overnight bag?

Oh man, we are planning an April Bachelor party and were down to New Orleans and Nashville. Ended up booking the NOLA flights this morning.  Pretty fired up for it already.

Travel Pro is by far the best luggage for the money. unless you are going to spend a lot of cash and jump to Rimowa or Tumi there is no other good option.

thanks, have american tourister right but they don't seem as durable. They are already getting their ass kicked even after light use.

the biggest studs in the airport are always towing aluminum Rimowa bags that are beat to crap. so elite. I think if I ever buy one I'm going to drag it behind my car around the block a hundred times before I use it like attorneys do when they buy a new briefcase.

Going to Nashville for a weekend in April for a Bachelor Party.

Anyone ever been and have any recomendo's?

Nashville is pretty fun. Exceeded my expectations, mostly because I had an impression that it was just a bunch of country stuff. But there's a lot going on. Ginormous hipster community also.

Hit this place up for breakfast sometime. There's like a 45 minute line every day but it's worth it imo.

http://www.thepancakepantry.com/

Obviously the main strip (Broadway) is cool, lots of bars and shops and whatnot.

They have a giant Parthenon in a park right next to Vanderbilt. It's cool to check out. I also walked right onto the football field and goofed around with some friends, they don't even keep it locked up!

Also the state capitol building is pretty cool, there's a big park down the hill from it, and a giant map of tennessee with each county and town etched into the concrete.

I guess if you're going for a bachelor party just walk up and down Broadway and get mumped up. But the above stuff is good for daytime activities.

Mrs. raquetcat lived in Nashville for a year it's a pretty cool city, here are her recommendos:

Places to Eat:
Pancake Pantry – Sweet Potato Pancakes with Cinnamon Cream Syrup
Calypso Café
Fido
Loveless Café
Las Paletas (popsicles)
Germantown Café
Virago (Sushi)
South Street
Cabana

Things to do:
Downtown Nashville – Bar Hopping at night (live music in every venue)
Green Hills for Shopping
Bluebird Café (Sunday night – Writers night…go early to get in line…AWESOME!!)
Yazoo Brewery Tours
Lots of historical tours if you’re into that
I'm purple down

ha ha, literally this week I was all jealous that SJC was starting to get 787 service to Narita and boom:

http://www.slate.com/blogs/moneybox/2013/01/16/_787_grounded_in_japan_boeing_s_growing_disaster.html

But I also found out Singapore Air has been flying A380's out of SFO, hoping they'll still be using them on that route in September when I go back to Asia.

the 787s will be back in the air in no time. just cutting their teeth. the A380s had the same thing with the wing cracks and engines quitting on them

until that time, I will stop being jealous of those grimy fuckers down in San Jose. No international 787 flights from SFO? Can you believe that?
