I'm thinking about going to Montreal around june ish.  Any pro tips?

Do you need a visa or anything to get into canadia or can I just book a plane ticket and show my passport?

Should be fine, assuming you're not staying more than 90 days. American passports, baby!

When I went in the fall to Toronto there was an app that supposedly gave you a fast pass at customs but there wasn't a line when I went.

There used to be an urban legend about a DUI on your record denying you entry but no idea if that's really a thing.

Montreal seemed snobbier about speaking French than France did. Awesome city though, much cooler than Toronto which sucks.

Montreal is nice. Best to have your hotel in (or walkable to) the old quarter, though they more pricey. Bagels are amazing, and they have their own amazing pastrami ("smoked meat"). Walk up Mount Royal; it's a lovely park. I really love Quebec City, too, if you can swing part of your trip up there. I had a breakfast I will never forget in Quebec City, but would have to look up the name of the place.

I've been to Toronto a few times and do like the city -- it reminds me of a smaller NYC. But there wasn't a single meal I ate there that was memorable.

What about french whores?  While watching Kids in the Hall I was lead to believe there were loads of french whores there.

I don't know. My Canadian gf at the time (went to McGill) recommended certain notorious strip clubs when I went up there one time for a bachelor party, but I didn't mention that here because it's a family blog.

They can all be found in the northeast end of downtown on St Catherine St.

The strip clubs there have this tradition of getting the groom from bachelor parties up on stage then stripping then down to the full monty, so if you aren't interested in showing your bird to a bunch of strangers and strippers on stage, then maybe don't go there for bachelor parties.

Jazz Fest is from June 27th to July 6th this year, that would be my choice of time to be there.

It is 100% (mostly) true. It's why we can't get some workers up here. It's not a full blackball, it's just a lot of hoops to jump through.

Equal...Yeah its cool to have your own swim up pool outside your room but unless it lazy river connects to the main pools at a resort you are just staring at another hotel room or the jungle on the otherside. And if it does lazy river connect to the rest of the pool you are going to have rando's outside your room all day trying to make the full loop.

Pro PV guy but I only do the old town / romantic zone. It's an awesome place, best food I've had in Mexico consistently
