United's app is the GOAT of airline apps
100%. Delta sucks so hard in comparison

IDK what's going on with the app, it used to be pretty decent, but whatever update they sent out months ago has made it just awful. I don't get it

I mean I guess you can check into a flight and see your miles? But good luck changing or booking.
Literally just trying to see flight options

And that's what I'm saying, all that used to work really well, but now it's super buggy after some update they sent out, I don't get. I have major issues just signing in, you can do it, you just gotta know the way, which is not how it used to be.

Ha, I just did it, it's working perfectly fine for me, for now.

I figured that on average I've taken between 15 to 20 airline trips a year for the past 25 years or so.

Yesterday was my first aborted landing attempt, SWAir, Love Field (I hate SWAir, but for this trip I'm wasn't buying the tickets, the company was, and company says lowest fare offered must be chosen, unless special circumstances are involved and "I hate SWAir" is not valid for the comment section of the expense).

We were down very low on final about to touch down and suddenly we're being blasted out of there up to altitude.  Pilot said bad tailwind and they actually changed the whole pattern right after that.

A little sporty.

Thankfully we weren't arrested as we got of the plane for the aborted attempt.

I had one on SWA landing at PHX one time where our wheels just touched the ground and then they said "NOPE" and went back up to circle back, no explanation given. It was a very WTF moment.

I enjoyed the pictures of them in their first-class seats.  If I was boarding the plane, walking towards economy, it would've been upsetting to me.

Good news for you then because it was a 757 so we made a left turn. That was a first for them.

Hey guys, I need some SF tips...

We are heading there in Oct, mainly for the Chiefs\49ers game, but are planning on staying in SF Friday and Saturday night, then in San Jose Sunday night after the game.  We already have flights in\out of San Jose.   I have been to SF once before about 8 years ago and stayed at the Hilton in Union Square.  At the time it seemed like a great central location to pretty much everything.  I have heard lately that Union Square has gotten pretty dirty (is this true?), so was thinking about staying in another neighborhood.  I was recommended Nob Hill.  It will be my wife and I and another couple and want to be walking distance from good restaurants, cocktail bars, and some cool sights.   Any tips are appreciated!

I can say that Golden Gate Park is better than Central Park and absolutely you should dedicate a minimum of 2-3 hours there.

Nob Hill is great but like union square it borders the Tenderloin which has always been a wild place if you go down the wrong block. I'm guessing Union Square hasn't really changed much since the last time you visited either.

And Golden Gate Park is not better than Central Park lmao

Yeah I remember getting into the Tenderloin by like half a block last time, and turned right around.  I am thinking we will stay in the SOMA area so we are on the opposite end away from Tenderloin and can still walk through Union Station, or hop on the trolley easily.

I can only assume KK walked out of Trump tower to Strawberry Fields and said “this sucks” and turned around and went back to his room.

Well, soma can be a bit dodgy or bland depending on where you are. I'd do Nob Hill

SD we enjoyed Omaha. Thanks for the tips. Its been 5 or so years since I used to go there quite a bit for work and its changed a ton. Lots of familiar stuff though. Game and Zoo were great but hot as ballz. We also hit both of your food recommendos. Blatt was great and I realized when we got there that I had been to the pizza place a couple of times and just forgot. We also hit Beercade2 and Lil SF and I played the crap out of some Blitz 99 while Mrs SF and I had beers. It was a great place. The one thing I did notice moreso than I notice here in KC was a large amount of really proud MAGA folks. I saw more Trump/Lets Go Brandon shirts/hats than I normally do here in KC which was kind of odd, but whatevs. It was a pretty good short little vacay and we will prob do it again.
