how many other herbivores do you baby people fear?

Hippos
You just pop it in the nose and it'll scurry away.

I always show up in Dallas and I'm like now what. They did have a great tapas place but it closed.

I bet there are a lot of great strip mall restaurants for immigrant communities

I don't think there is an attraction in DFW that someone should plan a vacation around unless you're really into JFK.   But if you're coming to Dallas for a concert, sporting event, conference or to visit family/friends, there is plenty to do and see.

when I was a little kid we went to dfw and went to six flags. on the way we visited the okc bombing location which had just been bombed like the year before. I have no recollection of anything else we did other than ate at TGI Fridays and I got potato skins which was the first time I was aware that potato skins were a thing.

Not that I think Dallas is the bee's knees, because I have no real attachment to it, but what does one do in any city? What does one do in Kansas City?

KC isn't talked about as the LA of the Midwest. There's a difference!

Any city that isn't by a body of water should be banned from elite status talk.

jazz museum and negro leagues museum are pretty good unique things but that's probably about it. bonus is there isn't brain splatter although it does highlight a pretty nasty period of history.

I agree with this.  Find something entertaining, eat something, then find fun places to get housed.  So in my opinion, the 3rd one is the most important.

KC has mafia crap here and you can do the tunnels and stuff and you get to feel like a gangster for a day. Dallas can't provide that feeling!

Yep, most cities are fun if this is your plan. Mrs SF and I used to do that pre kids. NY is our fav. Just go, drop off somewhere, walk around and find places to eat and drink, profit. I've discovered that kids don't really like to do that though.

Correct. It's the LA of the south. KC is in the Midwest. Great geographic talk.

oh ok.

I don't think Dallas and L.A. compare at all. L.A. is way better.  Kansas City might be better described as the Miniature Dallas of the Midwest.

Yeah, KC is pretty pud, but I kinda like it. It's definitely not an elite city. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to visit here.

The unique thing about KC is that it’s 100% suburbs

It's just a throwback reference to something Beems said a long time ago.
