Brussels is more like I thought Paris would be than Paris. Rude people, great food (and beer), bad English, great neighborhoods and architecture. Paris had friendly people, great English, and it seemed harder to find great food. Both are great though!!

No one played the airport game here  :horrorsurprise:

I have no idea but I'm going to say Charlotte just to get things started.

I did play the game, I just had no rough ridin' clue.  I'm thinking it's some B level airport in Florida.

Best guess I could come up with is Ward Parkway Mall so I declined to play.

Everyone knows that Amsterdam is the best Euro city.

Only flown through, do want to go there. Also want to do Rome pretty bad, and Vienna and Bratislava since they're like 50 miles apart.

Favorite euro city is Salzburg (so far), Inverness was also pretty great this last January.

Berlin is by far the weirdest euro city I've been to, though that is more due to it's history but that still makes it weird AF.

Another Europe related question.  We will be traveling to Lyon (France) for a whole day.  There is potential the Mrs will be working all day and i’ll have the opportunity to roam around.  Geneva is only a 100 minute train ride.  My question, given the opportunity is Geneva worth a short day trip?

Lyon is one of the best food cities in the world. I'd just wander around Lyon, if I were you.

This. You're also next to insane wine country. That whole region is incredible and filled with National Parks.

I love Switzerland, but just briefly dipping your toe into the corner of the country doesn't seem worth it. Zermatt is worth it, and a reasonable drive from Geneve, but it doesn't sound like you have time.

As for Lyon gastronomique, here's a good place to start: https://guide.michelin.com/us/en/auvergne-rhone-alpes/lyon/restaurants

However, I've found that if you just duck into any local brasserie, you won't have a bad time. I would say French-language skills are seldom necessary in Lyon, but they certainly don't hurt.
