It definitely depends on what kind of bird/route you are flying. General domestic? Absolutely not. Transatlantic? Yes.

Because I rarely fly, I'm always amazed at everyone's ability to pick apart the minutia between different airplanes, airlines, and airports. They all seem exactly the same to me.

Now, I'm like, yeah, I can't even think of a reason to prefer an aisle, middle, or window seat.

The fact that you don't understand aisle>window>middle is astounding to me (that is, if you must travel in stowage).

Same, hate the middle and the aisle is annoying if its a longer flight

They seem equally uncomfortable to me and the way I sit doesn't really vary depending on which I'm in.

Aisle is an utter nightmare if you are tall with broad shoulders. I think I've gotten to the point that I'd rather be squeezed into a middle seat than to be constantly shoulder checked by people's hips.

In mich's scenario there was nobody in the middle seat so you could lean into that

Got the lie flat. :gocho:

I'm worried I won't spend enough in three months for the status match though.

I've never been able to sleep in economy, even with a window to lean against. Gimme the aisle. I'd rather not have to climb over sleeping poors (like myself, except I'm at best lucidly sleeping).

if it's a tight seat, short flight, i'll take the aisle.  i can stick one leg out there and for 2-3 hours i'd rather get to do that and have to pull it back in when needed than not.  for a longer flight, usually there's another inch or two of legroom and i then prefer the window.

sitting in a row with every seat full of strangers is basically impossible for me.  i can only manage it if i can take some of the legroom that's supposed to be for the empty seat or my wife's seat next to me.

There is no better sleep than staying up all night and taking the 6am flight back from Vegas to KC. Board, pass out, boom you are back in KC and hungover AF. I'm to old for that now but back in the day it was pure bliss.

The reason I found out I'm to old for this was that about 5 years ago I tried to execute this tried and true plan but ended up falling asleep at the airport in a chair, woke up like 5 minutes after departure time, tried to sprint down the gangway and was stopped by the gate agents who said it was too late. I had to spend another 3 hours in the vegas airport hungover waiting for the next flight only to be stuck with a middle seat because that was all they had left...0/10 would not recommend.

I’m going to the beach tomorrow to soak up some rays. A 2 hour drive is pretty nice now.

Booked four flights on the delta status match and have four upgrades to Delta One or first. WOW!

Interiors on the first two were pretty old though. I'll still take it.
