Which ORD terminal are you in that makes you think Midway is comparatively better?  T5 is awful, but the AA Terminal is pretty great.  United terminal might be bad, but I’ve only been there a couple times

Yeah, they had me flying United that day. It was just a bad experience all around, but I doubt it was their fault. This winter was a shitty year for traveling through Chicago, Indy, Columbus, Cleveland, and Denver all around. Lots of delays, long lines, staying over night, etc. I should really blame the polar vortex.

I'm just use to really short lines going through Midway.

I spend so much time in concourse C (worst concourse) that I can tell you when the goose island bar clears out for departures each evening and the two old guy bartenders know my name. C sucks ass but I love it anyway. also ORD will be a million times better when the train is done (should be about 25 years from now based solely on the union working hour jokes from the airport employees)

C does suck ass.  Sorry sd.

So last Friday I flew out of ORD, was downtown to Admirals Club in 45 minutes seemed pretty great to me.  This isn't always my experience, but more often than not.  Traffic is the only variable than makes more than a 5-10 minute difference.

I'm not talking about the train-train. I'm talking about the airport train. bussing to the rental cars, international terminal, etc. sucks an entire ass.

I’ve never bussed to rental cars. Didn’t realize that the ATS had closed for renovations, that probably sucks balls and taints... I took it in December

well, in october I flew LHR to ORD and it was down and I had to bus to the domestic terminal. then a couple weeks ago it was not running and I had to bus to the rental cars. curious how it was working in december unless they opened it periodically or only closed parts for work. the bus drivers tell all their jokes about how long it's going to take to complete every time.

it especially seems elite when you compare it to the open air shitty parking lots that served this purpose prior in beautiful chicago weather.

I like El Paso's airport. Super easy to fly into and out of. The two terminal setup is kinda lol-y but other than that it's fine.

I'm a big fan of Louisville airport. So easy to use. In and out with no issue. Only negative is rental cars. Everybody has to use the counter and the cars are on a lot.

OMA airport has the flavors I crave. Onsite parking and I don’t even have to go outside is key. Parking garage straight to security on second floor via skyway tunnel deal. Can go from car - security - gate in 10 minutes or less. TSA pre never has more than a couple people in line. Gate at either terminal is 20 yards away from security. Acceptable bar at both terminals if you are delayed or just want to show up early for refreshing booze drinks. UP IN THE AIR filmed there!

no bus to rental cars is so incredible. at LGA while it's getting remodeled (rebuilt?) you have to take a bus to a bus to the rental car place

Same. But I’m often in a situation where I have to have one. National makes the process much more convenient. Plus I have status there so usually can pick some nice sled or a high school dream car that is super good at burnouts.

Currently in Savannah GA (you have to say it like you have a mouthful of molasses). Walked down to River st around noon and got boozy then took a nap, just woke up and walked a block away to Forsyth Park to continue reading "Midnight in the garden of good and evil". Great book

You can pound beers and watch giant container ships come and go from the port.

I was just changing planes in Midway.  Judgment is based on the small ass bars that all seem to have 10 inch TVs and lack of food options after 9:30.

I was just changing planes one time at O'Hare and my judgment was having to run from like gate F to A in 30 minutes to catch my connecting flight.  :sdeek:
