Napa is a fun long weekend, but I'd hate to spend a week.

Ditto on a cruise.

By default Cancun (to bad it's not someplace better).    Do you know what resort?

Don't know. Flyer just lists those three things. I've mathematically won the contest but won't be awarded for a couple of months.

I could snorkel in the ocean for half a day or more. It's the coolest thing ever. Plus, bars are right on the beach. I like doing stuff I don't have in my own backyard.

Alright you travel experts... I've won a choice of three trips.

Bahama cruise
Cancun All Inclusive
Napa Valley

Where should I take Mrs IPA? We've never been to any of these.

From Napa, you could run the historic Dipsea Trail and take hikes through redwood groves.

Napa is boring but requires a lot of effort. Beach may be boring but at least it's relaxing.

And as a couple of people have mentioned, highlights of a Napa trip are not in Napa.

yeah, I think Napa is great but agree I wouldn't stay there a long time. we rented a car service that picked us up and took us around everywhere for a day. it took no effort and was worth it imo. the driver was also part of the experience because he told us about all the history of the different winerys and the area and some gossipy stuff about various vinyard owners and restaurant people. also very great concentration of amazing food in Yountville. But when I think "going to Napa" what I mean is going to SFO for a day, Napa for a couple, and Sonoma for a day (for beer), and maybe go look at big trees for a day.

Yeah to all of that. You're also a really good planner and probably enjoy planning something like that. Hard to say what you'd get from a generic prepaid "Napa Trip". It might cover a meal at French laundry, but I'd doubt it.

And my personal experience is I visit like two wineries and I'm decently buzzed and everything looks and tastes the same. On repeat trips I'm like "I think I was here last time but I'm not sure".

I think Napa is beautiful, but it just isn't my thing. You have to really like wine to get into it, I think.

IPA, get more details about each of the 3 options, including how much flexibility you'd have to mod the plans as you want and how much of a pain in the ass it would be to do so.  That will inform you on how closely each would/could match what you like best and how likely it is to be what you expect.

If you can't get any more info than what you have here, I'd do cancun - most likely to match what you expect and least amount of extra stuff you could have to think about other than show up where told and relax.

I'm driving from MHK to Columbus, GA this weekend. Anything I need to see or eat in Fayetteville, Memphis, or Birmingham?

Go to the tv stations that reported on the original pig aggie thing and demand the archived video footage.

So not exactly leisure travel related but it looks like my brother is moving to LA soon for work, any pro tips I can pass along for finding a place etc? Work location is a few blocks from staples center.

Negotiate a relocation package that includes temporary housing, visit something like City pages to get a feel for different neighborhoods, set a budget, research on Craigslist.

Also has he considered Dallas instead?

if I were he, i’d get a place downtown- tons of redevelopment and deals to be had
also tell him to look in silver lake and los feliz

definitely can’t go further west than hollywood

the best resource for housing in los angeles is westsiderentals.com.  costs $55 for a month’s subscription but it’s far better than craigslist

I've watched a fair amount of Million Dollar Listing LA. Tips:

- Valley? LOOOOOOOOOOOLOLOLOL no
- Hollywood: Bird streets
- Beverly Hills: NOT south of Sunset
