Ireland next weekend!

Was there last fall. I was told to avoid the Guinness tour so I did. Ring of kerry is worth it if you like big tall cliffs with oceans crashing against them.

I was told it wasn't worth it by a well respected tourist on these matters. Maybe I was led astray

Will only be there 5 nights, and most is centered around a rugby trip in Cork, so not much time for tourism, but plenty for Guinness, pubs and whiskey.  Figure this trip will help decide if it would be worth doing a longer vacation there.

We had a private van take us to all of that 1.5 days... Guess we got lucky in how clear Skellig was that day, said somedays can't even see them from land.  Didn't do the home get on Skellig itself thing...That's reserved for Jedis I heard.

yes sir!  worldport is located there.  pretty impressive operation.

in terms of chow, the outback on signature drive?  a+ bloomin' onion, terrible ribeye.  el nopal has some decent mexican.  if you stay by the airport prepare for  non-stop flights 24/7/365

For a one day trip, I recommend Churchill Downs Musuem and Slugger Museum. Booze in the Urban Bourbon tour. Good food near 4th Street Live (our P&L) as well as Baxter Avenue and Frankfort Ave. All have good beer choices. Wacky enjoyed drinking in the old church on Baxter.

Two days in NYC this summer with the family. Staying in a Hyatt with points. Thank you CC thread.

Things we want to do: Broadway show, 9/11 Memorial, Statue of Liberty.

What would you recommend?

Ali museum trumps Churchill Downs, unless you're a degenerate gambler.

Don't be a tourist. Walk around. Eat at hole in the walls. Take in the diverse beauty. If you had more time I'd recommend taking the LIRR and head to Jones Beach.
